Some handy information and answers to questions you may have

When is the best time to have the bride and groom formal shoot done?

Bride / Groom and bridal party photos are best taken 1 hour before sunset. You can check out the following site for sunset times. (www.timeanddate.com). During the summer this can fall right in the middle of your reception. If this is the case, and I see a killer sunset with the most beautiful light ever.

Why don’t you work by the hour?

Every wedding is different and has a different agenda. And some weddings don’t always run exactly to schedule. If we said to you, we are staying for 7 hours and you are right in the middle of your speeches and that time is up, we are not going to walk out and pack up our gear mid-way through. So to allow for all that, we work by event, rather than by the hour. This will give you a more complete story of your day and it also allows us to be alot more relaxed in our approach to the work we do.

When do you turn up and when do you leave?

The full day coverage is from the bridal preparation to just after the formalities at your Reception.

There is the addon to stay to the end of evening, so feel free to inquire about it .

The half day coverage* is from the bridal preparation to end of bridal portraits.  * Please note there is no reception coverage for half day coverage. See information on Packages for further information.

Do you supply high resolution images and am I able to print them?

Yes and Yes. All the images we capture are high resolution 5-6K images shot with a full frame 35mm sensor camera with of 22.0-45.0 megapixels. images can be posterized or printed on large canvases.

Are the files retouched?

Yes the images are edited and includes colour correction and basic skin retouching if required. however, there are limits to what we can achieve in the editing stage. we do not re-touch body size or resize/ shrink waist or body parts as part of the package.

Do you watermark your images?

No. Your images are meant for printing so they will not be watermarked.

Are you one of those photographers that are bossy and annoying?

No. We definitely are not, so don't worry. We are friendly and considerate. We are discreet, but not weird hiding in the bushes discreet. We will direct when we need to and will get everyone into a group shot when required (we do have to be a little bossy there unfortunately as it can be like herding cattle). we do not like to harass people. If a guest is standing right in front of an important shot, we will politely ask them to move – no hip and shoulder techniques will be used! EVER!

What is your experience and how long have you been taking photos and doing videos for?

Both of us started off in the creative industry from a very young age. Mark at the age of 13 and JD at the age of 15. Both of us graduated from Film school a few years ago and  put ourselves through film school by taking up photography gigs for film sets, parties, night clubs and corporate events, and since graduation, we have constantly been working on short films, feature film crew and various tv stations.

Now we pride ourselves with our quality of work and have built our style of photography through experience and creativity.

How many photos will we receive?

There is no limit to the number of images that you will receive, but to give you a general idea it will be between the 300-500 range, depending on the length of the day. If there are two photographers, the amount of images you receive will be around the 600-700 mark.

What is a Highlight video?

A Highlight video is a trailer format video ranging between 4-7 minutes that is a summation of your wedding day. to get a better idea, have a look at some of our highlight videos.

Are your video High definition?

We shoots with Cinema cameras and capture video in Full HD and 4K format which we later give you in 1080p High definition video format.

Can i get the raw unedited video files from the wedding day as well?

All our videos go through a range of colour and visual grading in the editing room and are filmed in proprietary video formats (Xavcs, Raw, Canon Raw) that aren't readily playable on all computer systems. In order to provide you with the raw unedited footage, we will have to convert each video to standard MP4 format, and that could take upto a day or two to convert. that's why we do not provide raw footage with our standard package, but can definitely get your a copy on request at an added cost.

Is the highlight video all i'm paying for?

No, you also get the edited version of the ceremony and reception that covers all the speeches and the vows, the first dance, cake cutting, walking down the aisle, etc. all this will be provided in a usb drive box set or can be provided in a dvd or blu ray box set if you prefer.

The highlight video will also be uploaded online through a private link on youtube or vimeo for you to showcase and share with family and friends.
